About

This is an authentic experience where we will learn about the food and traditions of Peru by visiting local markets and non-turisty areas along with our expert guide and transport. We'll head to Surquillo Market 1, where we'll enjoy a tasting of native and exotic fruits. We'll learn about their origins and the properties of our typical fruits, as well as enjoy their unique flavors. Next, we'll take the Metropolitano bus to downtown Lima, where we'll visit the central market and Chinatown. We'll try typical Chinese-Peruvian snacks and street food, such as Picarones (doughnuts made with potato and fig jam) and the famous anticuchos (skewered beef heart). To finish, we go to Alameda Chabuca, near the Plaza Mayor of Lima, where we will try the famous street dessert called Arroz con Leche and Mazamorra Morada.
