About

This tour lets you experience the Thai capital at night and gives you a unique impression of the city. Jump on the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Wat Arun and enjoy a ride in a typical Thai tuk tuk through the lively streets of Bangkok. We visit several famous landmarks after sunset, when the city takes on a completely different atmosphere. Many temples and historic buildings are beautifully illuminated, creating a magical setting. Along the way, your local guide will share fascinating stories about Bangkok’s history, culture and daily life. You will also experience the vibrant evening atmosphere that makes Bangkok so special after dark. NOTE 1: During this tour we travel by the Chao Phraya Express Boat and a typical Thai tuk-tuk. Please note that some walking is also involved. NOTE 2: Kindly be aware that this is not a food tour. At the end of the tour, we simply enjoy a basic street-food meal and dessert in Chinatown.

Good to know

  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • As we will enter the temple compound at Wat Arun (though not the temple itself), respectful attire is recommended (longer shorts that cover the knees and covered shoulders).
  • On Monday food-stalls are not allowed on the streets, so Chinatown is a less lively than other days of the week.
  • The tour starts at 17:30 hrs. Pick up from the hotel (by car or minivan) will be between 16:00-17:00 hrs, depending on the location of your hotel. The exact pick up time will be informed via a private message via the booking platform the day before the tour. Please check your messages/email (including junk mail folder) carefully.

  • Please note that this is not a food tour. While we do enjoy a local street-food meal and dessert at the end of the tour, the focus is on cultural exploration rather than food sampling throughout. Since the meal is served towards the end of the experience, we recommend having a light snack before the tour begins, especially if you think you’ll get hungry along the way.
